1917everything after it until the end-of-line is considered a comment and

1941(there are a few more commands with this restriction). For the `map`,

1954mapping. For these commands, any character until the end-of-line or '|' is

1975the Newline character. This also works on any other system. That way you can
1976copy your Vim scripts from MS-Windows to Unix and they still work. See
