patch 8.2.1570: configure check for dirfd() does not work on HPUX

Problem:    Configure check for dirfd() does not work on HPUX. (Michael Osipov)
Solution:   Use AC_TRY_LINK instead of AC_TRY_COMPILE. (closes #6838)
